Congrats on you baby V. berus find!

So my guess is, that the gravid female drop down the Babies and left the gravid-berus-sun-basking-place after that.

During my monitoring of almost 4 years already I've noticed the same thing. I've also seen this in C. austriaca. As soons as the babies are born the mother leaves. A couple days later, they show up at there hibernation site and later on, so do the babies.
