Kaiserstuhl (Germany)

Postby Andre Schmid » Thu Aug 06, 2009 9:39 am

Hi,
yesterday I made a trip to Kaiserstuhl, a very nice terrain in the south of germany. I´m searching for Lacerta bilineata and Mantis religiosa, and I found it. Thats the first time I saw Lacerta bilineata and Mantis religiosa in free nature, and I must say that the Lacerta bilineata the most beautiful Lizards I´ve ever seen in nature, impressive. And the Mantis are also a verry cool specim, I was very happy to found them.

Also I found a rare specim of butterfly, a Papilio machaon.

It was a very nice Trip ! Here are some shoots from yesterday.

regards Andre

Really nice pics! Kaiserstuhl is still on my trip list! The bilineata male on the last pic is still very nicely coloured, although out of breeding season! Hope to find them in two weeks in France :D !
