I've spend some wrecked days in front of class because of nocturnal herping ventures.

Oh, how I envy all these snake-photos :D

I can offer two new Pelobates fuscus-shots from helping at the amphibian-fence again last sunday:

I also got a documentary shot of the ultra-rare BMWicus stuckinthemudicus:

Lessons learned:

1. No matter how dry it is and if there's only one nice and shallow looking puddle around: don't trust that puddle. Just don't.

2. A 1series BMW is not THAT good in offroad-situations.

3. Even if you saved their lives just minutes ago, Pelobates won't give you a single cent to pay the 190€ for the towing-truck.

Cheers,

Heiko

Heiko,

Oh fella... BMWs are meant for sunny days on tarmac... my friends have BMWs... they laugh at my pick up truck, with its poor MPG and knobbly tyres.. when it snows they stop laughing and ask me very politely if I will tow their cars home :D

Nice pics.. I would happily give up some of my berus to see pelobates regularly :D

Cheers
