Storm on the Baltic Sea coast

Postby Daniel Bohle » Sun Aug 24, 2014 11:03 pm

Always a great experience!

I found 1 berus, 2 coronella and a huge number of agilis and natrix.
After about 1h I left that place because it was too cold and family was waiting.
It is also extremely exhausting for the eyes because everything moves and you get a free sandblasting peeling too ;)

Sorry, only snapshot mobile videos!

For me as a Dutchman living practically in the dunes, this is so bizar to see! I do encounter the odd Sand Lizard while strolling though the sandblown dunes but to find a snake in such habitat is something I can only dream of!

That's odd. Here in Denmark adders are quite common in many areas of coastal dunes. Here's one found in lee in the middle of a sandstorm with gale force thrusts of wind.
