Sand lizards from Baden-Württemberg

Postby Guillaume Gomard » Fri Oct 24, 2014 7:03 pm

This season I tried to come back to my very first herping experience when I was still around 10 years-old and playing with a lot of L.agilis behind my house. Well, I did not change so much and I still find those lizards particularly beautiful and interesting because of their variation in colouration. An overview of some specimens encountered in BW this summer:

It`s always woth to go out for agilis, I still love them.
They were also the first herps I was in contact with, as Pauli said a few Days after WW1!

Yo - spring memories. Agilis is the most sesonal species: You can only get good pictures from late April until May.
Thanks for sharing.

It was not my first goal to make this post so full of nostalgia :) but it's funny to see how many european herpers actually started with this species. Now I'm curious to know in more details how the members of this forum were introduced to the fieldherp's world. Maybe such a discussion already exist on the forum (apart from the introduction section)?
