visited Solling this weekend again - rainy day, nice landscape, beautiful animals!

Salamandra salamandra terrestris:


.... and - I know, not all here are happy about this - seemed the Speleomantes had a good year, some tiny of this year:

Great amphibian variety and still so bizarre that Speleomantes can be found in Germany nowadays... Do you have any idea if the population is doing well? Declining or increasing?

I think the population is doing well?
We found as many animals as last year, but a number of this year's pups.
So the population seems stable!
