Also love that little baby berus from Daniel!

A fellow Finn (who might be on the board too) found a juvenile adder in Central Finland this week. It's an unusually warm autumn up here this year.

Thanks for the contributions :)

Adorable baby, and a Finnish November adder - crazy.

It seems I was a little early closing the season around here. Weather was wonderful today and I was holed up inside restlessly charging about like a caged lion. I finally made it out by mid afternoon. The sun was already too low for the forest spots but I managed a quick round out in the open, hoping for a final adder or juvie sand lizard. I had all but finished my round and, once again, just about given up hope when I came upon a surprise.

And - since the season is (again) over, I'll add an exceptionally cool little hunter that crawled across the stairs here in my house just now. Any critter that catches and immobilizes its prey by spitting / casting a venomous web over it from a distance is automatically badass.

Great! Also in Holland they are still (or already?) being sighted. Doesn't surprise me -> 15 degrees and sunny... ;)
