Hi, these are my Herps found in northern Baden-Wuerttemberg 2015. Unfortunately I dont know any good spots for herps. Can anyone help me out with that? I would love to find some vipera berus but I just had no success so far. Nevertheless, heres my fotos:

I`m not a frog specialist, but I`m brave enough to say that your Frog is not a Rana temporaria.
It`s a Phelopylax blablabla, write Natrix food that`s always correct.

But he did write just "Natrix food", so where's Rana temporaria? Or maybe I've missed something?

Hi Paul,

It looks like you already know some spots considering the gallery you are showing here. You could easily find S. salamandra close to Heidelberg's castle. When the weather will be good again, I could show you some spots for Natrix close to Mannheim along the Rhine (last year I found my first snake there on 25th of March), and why not going together to Black Forest to photograph some (black) adders. On my side I would love to visit a bit more the Neckar valley for longissimus.

P.S: It would be great if you could say few words about you in the dedicated section ("Introduce yourself").

Cheers!

OK, now I understand. Just as cute small dogs are "snakefood" for pythons and anacondas in ZOOs...
Please forgive me the comparison, but I've been told that's how it goes in real life...

BTW, be always perfectly honest, because some of us, at least the "old-school guys (or girls)",
do appreciate that attitude/approach regarding science, life, or whichever human activity.
Not that it's so very popular nowadays, but in the long run, it (hopefully!) wins.
