Switzerland in september

Due to our spring Jordan trip being cancelled we are looking for a relatively coronaproof alternative to find at least a few nice herps this year. We are now considering Switzerland. Has anyone experience with herping in Switzerland in mid september, especially with regard to snakes? We are considering the Ticino region as it appears to have the largest species diversity but are open for other ideas.
Any advice is welcome!
