No one any Rana arvalis sightings? Will try to see some blue ones again, and looks like it will happen within this and the next 7 days or so, I'm guessing.

Wooaw!!!!

I remember from a few years back that also the Austrian populations where "later" than those in Belgium. Probably, Belgium and the Netherlands have the most suitable climate for early arvalis spotting???

... and I got my second herp of the year this morning on a short walk with my son - a female Lissotriton vulgaris.

Also, since Thursday reports have been coming in from around the country about Bufo bufo, Rana dalmatina, Rana temporaria and Triturus cristatus. Looks like things are finally starting tog get moving here in Denmark :)

I was also on a little fieldtrip this evening, i was looking for Bufo viridis, Rana temporaria and Triturus vulgaris.
Despite the 10 degrees, it was no success. There were still some snow here and there, and the lake were covered with a thin layer of ice from about 5 meters from the shore. In the water i could see thousands of dead fish and it smelled rotten.
Sincerely

I`m not lazy!!! I was out on
Thursday = three Zootoca vivipara
Friday = nothing
Saturday = nothing
Sunday = one Bufo bufo
Monday = a few males Rana temporaria on the side of a pound and waiting for the ladys!

It needs patience, but I don`t have it!!!!!!!!
