Once more, simply great!
It's a pity that we didn't meet, but visiting horvathi asap, as suspected, turned out to be the right decision for us. During night, weather changed to crappy and we had to visit a reptile zoo to see some herps.. :roll:

Hi Jeroen,

Congrats for this very good report! When speaking with a local guide from Postojna, I was told that Proteus anguinus can live up to 100 years, while eating every 10 years :shock: I didn't check this information so far but maybe you learned more about this animal during your visit?

Yes, that's supposed to be true more or less, although one could wonder how these things have been established, if they actually have been...
