Just a Natrix natrix

Yes right, just a Natrix but one of the nicest I ever found. At this Population the ground color of the Natrix is steel grey or greenish grey, with light yellow markings on the neck. The belly is black with some white markings.
But this one looks very different. The ground color is brown with some orange between the scales (couldn`t get that in the pics), The belly is black with orange and the markings behind the head are deep orange.

A beautiful snake, great portrait shot. Natrix shows a fabulous diversity of colouration, one of my favorites, I found in Greece,
