No Salamender this time I started around 3 pm, and leave at 7 pm by night, but i think it was too dry this evening. I found one active Rana temporaria, no more herp for this time...
Here's a tiny larva deposited in the track of a mountainbike tyre.
January is not the time of the big numbers, but it is the time to see a lot of females (in relative numbers), which often were still carrying larvae last time we met.
Goes to show once more that winter is very lively around here.
