Hello everybody, this is my first post on this forum.
On May 9th GHF (translated Gothenburg herptile association) visited Änggårdsbergen. Its a recreational area located in central Gothenburg.
The weather wasnt the best, very cloudy, but not too cold. Eventually the sun came out for a while, and then we had quite some luck.
First a female Vipera berus:
Later a Coronella austriaca (unsure of sex):
Right after that a male Vipera berus:
A pic of the two species together:
Habitat view:
I dont have pictures of all species we saw, but here is what we found:
Vipera berus (3)
Coronella austriaca (2)
Anguis fragilis (2)
I´m looking forward to see more field reports from Europe in this new forum!
Cheers!
