Francesco,

I will go southwest (from Austria), about 3´000 kms and have to use a ferry boat for about 1 hour!

I´ve been there 9 times until now.
And this is a picture from our first trip in 1975:

Francesco,
as far as I know - NO snakes on Canary islands

...... and here two pics of one of my favorite species from that particular area
MacMauret NZ male 3a 8-84.jpg

MacMauret NZ fem 1c 1988.jpg

and on the pics you see the reason, why I always drive by car to my places: all the sand, rocks, plants............. for nice terrariums!

Today was the first suitable day available for reptiles, it was a very sunny day and 12 degrees C, unfortunately my car was being repaired and so did not visit the site until 16:00. The site was a local graveyard which holds a good population of Slow worms,Common lizards and a few Adders.I found a few lizards still hidden from the cold beneath stones but the real target was of course the Adder.I stood for a few moments surveying the scene and thought to myself "That looks a likely place", well I was not disappointed.
