Distribution of common vipers in Mordovia has been sporadic. Viper mostly found in fairly large forest tracts. Prefers mixed forests, usually at the meadows, glades and clearings, along the banks of swamps, rivers, lakes and streams. In most of the V. berus brought black color

Nice adders. The red belly from the 5th adder is very beautiful. :)

Hello Maxim,

welcome here and thanks for sharing these nice pics!

If I´m right, (the Russian republic) Mordovia is also the first place, where a different haplotype of Vipera berus was found, (Vipera (b.) nikolskii?
Mordovia is on the Volga plain, capital is Saransk.

On the bottom of the picture, left you see the Black Sea, on right side the northern end of the Caspian sea.

Good, but lay out later. I am now at work, I have no photos habitats. On the sand meets black viper, and gray on the edge of the forest

No. I know Vipera berus nikolskii described from the Samara region. It is east of the republic of Mordovia
