Herptrip Montenegro-Croatia-Slovenia 2012

Postby Pierre-Yves Vaucher » Sun May 13, 2012 1:15 pm

Hi all,
just coming back from our herptrip Montenegro-Croatia-Slovenia with Frank Deschandol and Jean-Paul Bovey, 20th april to 7th may. This year was successfull for ammodytes ans ursinii !! But the weather changed from cold (12° and rain the first day in Ada Bojana) to too hot 3 days later (26° in plain) !!
We missed Platyceps, Thyphlops, situla and Telescopus :(
We have had the pleasure to meet Rok and Teja who were our fieldguides during the only day in Slovenia.
Here is the small report, the text will be completed as soon as I have some time to write it.
Enjoy!!

Nice report!
Love the variety of Vipera ammodytes shown ;) - but also all the other herps for sure :D
The "sedimented" Emys looks great!
