Just back from a 2 days trip to Croatia.
Most of it was driving(5 hours one way) but Im happy that we found 2 species for the first time

Saved from the road

From now my favorite snake species

another one with herpers in the eye

and in the late afternoon... the "fantom" snake

...on the way back home...

Malpolon seems to be common but not very easy to catch but finding situla was a stroke of luck
I was secretly praying to different gods for Platyceps and Telescopus...but it didnt work

!! The situla and malpolon are both stunning, I wish I could make a 2 day trip to that area from Holland!!!
