I stopped driving because I saw a dead baby quatuorlineata. And only after a while I saw the living baby situla nearby!

This picture show how difficult it can be to see (and save) these small snakes from streets while driving. It's a third specimen this one!

when the weather is warmer and sunny, other species appear on the streets. As this baby female Malpolon. Its head was kept up as a "periscope", but when I took the pictures there was no longer need for it to make a "periscope" because it had already clearly seen me and my car!
Its size!

Do you see the snake?
It's a normally coloured gemonensis
And this one is a more "orange/rusted" coloured specimen (especially orange on the belly).
