That's great news Vlad! Really pleased to hear they have been found, although like previously mentioned it had to be assumed they were still around. Let's hope the location stays a secret.

Great news! I was hoping this would happen :D It should be the northern most (known) population of Eryx in Europe.

What a great story. Good detective work from your part.
I find them great animals, I hope I can find one myself once.

I`ve been fortunate enough to be contacted by a local saying he`s got a strange snake.

Being just interested in a small detail - if a local had spotted a STRANGE snake, this would indicate
that this local knows what is "normal" and what isn't. If so, you were very very lucky indeed to meet
an informant like that.
In any case, that's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You go there, and find an Eryx jaculus, just like
that!
Regarding keeping the precise locality secret, I would say that warnings like that have become somewhat
too frequent, as well as unnecessary, HERE, among US. We all know what should or shouldn't be done in
cases like that.

I know, but what I said is that WE should not warn ONE ANOTHER on this issue. WE know what to do.
