lot of nice and great pictures :o
unfortunately they are cut off a bit (you see it in full size, when you click "open picture in new tab")
The "striped" P. milensis: is it a young male or female? looks great!

EDIT: oh, when I zoom down (in Google Chrome) to 90%, the pics are "complete"

Although my French isn't that good, I read through the whole report. Very nice pictures! :)

Awesome trip !
But maybe you could think about not keeping the snakes with you if you don't want to have troubles with policemen !

I thought too, but we have to keep one day because the light was not good when we discover them, just wait on the evening, release and took pictures... but an angry old man came and saw us

What a vivid description... Even angrier and older than you? Shame on him...

It's for me clear now who released the Lampropeltis albinos in Tenerife...

Beautiful trip, and beautiful dishes, but it's not clear how many situla you have photographed: it's only one specimen with more pictures, or more specimens, all with rather dull/dark colours?

Well, would be really glad to meet you at THAT age (our approximately common one), still
active in the field, hopefully - angry or not, but still breathing & moving... Fingers crossed.

... and very angry with his belief as he thought we relaxed cobras

So, it was probably his own private frustration, not a general nature conservation awareness...
Alas! I'm still waiting for local people (anywhere!) to call the police in a case like that, but for
the RIGHT reason. Only it hasn't happened yet, not to my knowledge at least.

BTW, your report is superb indeed. And my best regards to Frank as well. The two of you seem
to perform outstandingly as a pair in the field. And of course I envy you the nice meals you were
nasty enough to show. Remember our common feasts, especially the one in Gračac, when Frank
made a terrible mistake of ordering a local JUMBO pizza...?
