Cres island 2016

Postby Mario Schweiger » Thu Apr 21, 2016 1:33 pm

I have been on Cres island, north Croatia from Thursday last week till Monday.
Unfortunately something went wrong with one of my lenses (pictures much to dark and a bit blurred). Much work during the next days.
So here at first some panorama pics (for best view, open LINK in new tab).

here are my 1st animal & habitat pics: the famous wall in Osor town.
This introduced Dalmatolacerta oxycephala population has its origin on one of the islands. Therefore they are more brown instead of turquoise

You obviously had a great time on Cres. But may I ask a technical question: Why are all
the photos (both Thomas's and Mario's) so unsharp, fuzzy - as presented here? I know
that both of you make perfect photos, so what's the reason here and now?

You are absolutely right Bero. Unfortunately I had not my own camera an I didn't check the parameters, so most of the pictures are crap.

As soon as I get the pictures of other members of the trip I'll post them - hopefully in a good quality!

But it doesn't explain why Mario's pictures are also much too "fuzzy", as well as yours. Surely, no camera today produces fuzzy pictures like that. I suppose it must be some stupid technical detail of reduction to 500 kB, the
maximum accepted on this webpage.
Namely, it's not exceptional that some really brilliant photographers sometimes post pictures like that in this forum. It must be some trivial technicallity... But which one?!

Bero, as written in the 1st words of this topic, I have/had some problems with my camera/lensis. Dont know exactly what it is, allready cleaned the copper contacts between body and lens - without success.
For sure, it has nothing to do - like YOU call it - STUPID detail of file size reduction.
This reduction is necessary, as well as for in time loading for larger reports, as well as for the total web space of fieldherping.eu
You may check and compare these two pictures:
