I have seen quite a lot of "flat" graecas in the hinterland of Kavala, but can remember a very high one, crossing the road near Akrogiali (east of lake Volvi). Sorry no pics, long time ago. But the road crosser looked like this one from Afyon (W Anatolia, scanned slides):

graeca has wider center line scutes than hermanni and hermanni's carapace is more yellowish than graeca's and more shiny. You can easily tell between two just looking them from above, no need to flip them or see from behind.
