Santorini & Naxos

Postby Andre Schmid » Wed Sep 28, 2016 5:45 pm

Hello everybody,

I just finished the first photo overview and editing and want to show you some of my pictures.

It was a hard search with nearly allways bad weather (to hot, to windy...) but at the end I found a few snakes :)

You cried to much on Facebook for this result. I think it's quite nice as usual, I know the feeling with the ammodytes, I had the same thing on Corfu... first day first and last ammodytes.. you had the luck and got some good pictures. ;)

Hi Andre

Thanks for your report from herping in a tough season. I always like your pictures, especially that first Telescopus! You arranged this beautiful snake very "photogenicly".

Hello Andre,
nice report with wonderful photos and some nice finds. Reminds me on my trip to the Peloponnes in September last year, but I saw even less snakes. Two Eryx and one ammodytes, what more do you want? ;)

cheers Kai

I cried  ?

Just said Santorini is boring island (to much touristic, to less nature) and sunsets are quite beautiful alternative if you found no snake to photograph ;)

Nice that you like my report. For sure I´m happy with the result. But its kind of frustrating if you found 6 quatuorlineata sheds and miss the only animal in a olive tree
