Hello all,

I think it is some dead Reptiles.
These species are so commonly found DOR. The way that the quatuorlineata keeps his mouth open, just like the first tesselata on another picture...the eyes look like some of a dead animal...
The first Malpolon too, and the light of the picture of the second (with the mite near the eye) looks like an artificial light, like in a terrarium...

+ What is the time when the photo was taken?
I am not sure that you can see this kind of behavior in this period of the year.

Just my opinion.

Regards

I also think it's all a fake scene...

Short response by smartphone: fake!
The same 4lined snake was photographed without the pseudopus in unusual (=dead) posture.... When? Before or after the aggression towards the pseudopus?

The remaining question is only whether the Pseudopus apodus was dead or alive in this combination.
If it was dead, then never mind, just a stupid hoax... If it was alive, then it comes to molesting an
animal, which is certainly NOT OK. Even legally.

So what do you think, then? You saw the eye in the photo...

Yes, not easy to discern in the dark, but it's open, for sure. But does it invariably mean that the animal
is alive? A 100% indication? I've never seen a dead P. apodus, but when caught, they all look like dead
- doing nothing, with open, glassy eyes... A terribly difficult task to make a decent portrait...
