Herping in Croatia in July (Question)

Im new her and this is my first poste. So im trying the power of this forum

Im from Czech Republic and after COVID - 19 crisis im planing trip to Balkan. The date is next week. I know its not best time for herping, becouse hot... But there is my question... Is there anyone who herped in Croatia (Krk) in early July?
Is there any chance I can see a snake? And what this type of herping looks like? i mean... Do I have to go at night or early in the morning? Or is it possible during the day?
