Hello everybody,

maybe you know the Cyclades are one of my alltime favorites in european Herpetofauna.

So this year, my girlfriend decides for another beach holiday to Milos, and we added Kimolos to our destination list for our trip. I was totally focused on the Vipers, and even the islands are very dry, I/we found in summary about 15 Vipers, so it was a very succesfull trip :)

Great to see a new report here, thanks for sharing! Impressive numbers and photos, are they widespread in whole Island, or you have to check only specific creek beds?

Macroviperas are distributed over the whole island, but have the most dense populations in the creeks (potamos).
Here an example: We found vipers in the trees close to the house of a farmer friend

Hi,

I can agree to Mario´s post. I found them in the eastern part, in the middle and as Mario said in the western, more nature and wild part of the Island.

Best regards

Andre
