Following Sindaco et al. (2006): Atlas of Italian Amphibians and Reptiles,
Hemidactylus turcicus occurs up to 500 m asl, with most of observations, 68,3% below 100 m asl and 3.4% above 500 m asl.
Tarentola mauritanica: 84% below 400 m asl, 15% 400 - 800 m asl ans sporadic above 800 m asl.
