Marche 2012

Postby Niklas Ban » Sun Aug 19, 2012 6:20 pm

So my trip ended and I was not very succesfull. I saw a few snakes, but the enorm dryness and the heat (35-40 degress every day) wasn't the best weather for herping.
But I took a few nice shoots and I will get there so fast I could in spring.. so the best images are on my webside but here are a few shoots :)

Niklas, you had almost the same "success" that I had in Tuscany at the end of July!
It was not possible for me to make a shot of a bilineata :( . but I found Testudo hermanni! :)

The Podarcis siculus you show here looks like a muralis to me.

I wasn't really sure if it is a muralis or a sicula, so maybe you are right. Italy is in the summer month very frustrating^^

?????
When I said it is no siculus, you said maybe, when the mander-man said it is no siculus you changed the name. You trust more in the slimy expert than in me?
Thank`s for that! ;)

Hey!

Nice report and pictures on your website, but the scorpion-genus is Euscorpius, not Euscorpio.
