Italy

Postby Andre Schmid » Wed Apr 15, 2015 1:39 pm

In the past weeks we (A. Pieh, HP. Mattern and R. Hähnlein and me) made a trip to Italy to visit different regions searching for snakes, salamanders and turtles...

Here is the result (out of my cam) ;)

Nice report Andre. Looks like a successful trip despite the sometimes cold weather. My favourite is the Coronella, a species that I did not yet see alive. Did you find it by flipping something? Under which weather conditions did you find it?

Hi Thomas,

both...We find Coronella after 2 rainy days when the sun comes out...conditions..mhm, maybe 12-14°C and 75% sun in the late evening.

Thanks :)

And yes, I think "the whole crew" has expect more, but with the nasty weather forecast everybody was happy about the result :)
