Hi, someone sent me a photo of a lizard which had fallen in his pool in Calpe / Alicante. This seems to be outside the range of subsp. nevadensis.
What do you think about the subspecies status of the attached lizard: nevadensis or lepidus?

For me definitively ssp. nevadensis.
Brown/grey ground color with green markings.
In ssp. lepidus just opposite: dark markings on green base color.

And its not realy outside of range, I think.
We have found in 1994 also typical nevadensis between torrevieja and Carthagena, close the the large lagoon (Mare menor).

I agree, Mario - maybe the distribution map at lacerta.de has to be modified...
