No, Burgos, and that's about as specific we'll get around here.

Hi guys! very interesting reports. Although vipers for me are the coolest, Salamandra pictures are also cool. One of them, a pregnant one, seems that it has 500 baby salamanders inside. I´m happy that you get to find so many species with this bad weather. I have to prepare my Morocco trip report 8-)

Yes, this guy is really fast...
Good for me to see that a bulk of professionals can have their difficulties in finding viperas
The Psammodromus looks the same as the western species for me...

Thanks a lot for the comments everyone, it's indeed a stone age camera. I've got it for my birthday about 7 years ago but it still works fine. I know all it's functions so it's easy for me to use it and no need to carry heavy photo-equipment while herping :)

Sometimes "bad" weather is better than "too good" weather

Totally true, in rain it's at least possible to find animals underneath stones. But I love to swim when it's warm and that wasn't possible :(

Peter Oefinger wrote:Great, Bobby – and really fast online-publishing! Could you post some (bigger) pictures of Ps. hispanicus. Would be interesting to see if they differ from Ps. edwardsianus…

When I got home at 09:00 after a night of few moments of sleep in car/train I was just too anxious to look at the pictures, after making the report -> comatose sleeping. But here some pictures of true hispanicus, I can send you some more if your interested.

Your right, 38 species it is (including the Malpolon skin that decorated the car for the last few days and kryptic Emys).

Fantastic stuff guys, you may be second up with the report Jeroen but your translation is a much easier read than Googles translation of Dutch, cant wait for some salamander action in Corsica in a few weeks :D .

Thanks Jeroen! Great finds, entertaining report, and excellent photography. This made my evening. I love the alfredschmidtis and the Chioglossa lusitanica - manders rule ;)!
