I agree as E.calamita tadpoles may already have a visible line on the back considering their size.

And I think your answer about P.algirus can be a little bit rude but that's true, indeed, that you can easily make the difference between the 2 species using the book.

You are right, but I have received a few too many questions like this from Michal by e-mail as well as here, I'm sorry. I'll behave now.

Michal, look at the key on p. 234 and the drawing on p. 233. Also, the dorsal pattern (stripes, spots) of both species is characteristic and very easy to tell apart.
