Not this time, Jürgen - I worked very hard to find at least one carbonelli...

Nice Pictures Peter,
I saw you visited serra da estrela one week before me, I know the mountain very well and recognize the places at once.
As for the carbonelli, they are indeed very hard to find in the summer in it's southern part of the range. As you were in serra da estrela you could have seen them there as well. There they live between 1300m and 1600m specially in the northern slopes of the range. In areas with lots of vegetation and some humidity they can be very common.
