Thanks. It seems they look more or less all the same. No signifcant difference between ssp carbonelli & ssp. berlengensis.

Here are four other pics from serra da estrela. The females look a bit darker perhaps.
All were found at about 1400m hight but at two different locations in the mountain

Hmm...difficult: the second and third could be female carbonellis but the first and the last are P. hispanicus type 1 for me.

The last is indeed hispanicus, (depressed head and pattern) but I think that the first can be a carboneli. I Think that I have other pics from the same animal but I still have to organize and catalogue what I took pictures of. In Estrela you can see both species at the same time at the same place, I'm sure I have more of these two.

PS: at what altitude did you find the c. Striatus? I never saw one of them high in the mountain before.

Agreed, the last 3 ones are carbonelli - nice to see the variety of this species, thanks.
