Mitra is a place in Alentejo, belonging to the University of Évora. It's a biodiversity hotspot, being home to high ecological value species like Microtus cabrerae, the only endemic rodent of the Iberian Peninsula. It's also place for many known studies in the area of Conservation Biology (which is also for what the University is known, it's great focus on Conservation Biology). Mitra is also where I have my classes, where I like to enjoy most of my time, and what makes me like so much to study here.
Everytime I can, I go in search of that biodiversity. Here's a list of all vertebrates I've seen so far:
1. Salamandra salamandra
2. Epidalea calamita
3. Pelophylax perezi
4. Natrix maura
5. Lissotriton boscai
6. Milvus migrans
7. Parus major
8. Mauremys leprosa
9. Hemidactylus turcicus
10. Ciconia ciconia
11. Tarentola mauritanica
12. Psammodromus algirus
13. Podarcis hispânica
14. Coluber hippocrepis
