Another crazy little trip, this time to the SW Iberian Peninsula with some of the usual suspects. The weather was very changeable throughout our trip but that allowed us to see a staggering 31 species. Please have a look at my website for the whole story and more pictures:

Very nice trip guys, I have been to most of the areas you visited ( not necessary the same spots ) and know how nice the area is.
I have two comments though:
- the coastal dunes to the North of Sines are known to harbour Carbonelli
- second, why would you eat hamburgers in Portugal? There is so much more to eat in the country.
Next time ask me for the good restaurants ;)
Well done guys,

Miguel

Thanks for the nice comments everyone, it was indeed a trip full of the good things in life and a great start into the herping season of 2016!

Miguel, usually we ended up in tiny towns where we'd be happy to encounter an open restaurant (or in fact picked the first restaurant which we spotted). Besides, we usually just sat down for a quick meal instead of settling down for a gastronomic highlight ;) No time to waste when there is herping to be done ;)

As for the carbonelli, I have to verify. In situ we were thinking this population was a new one in between known localised populations.

Very nice pictures that bring sun and warmth to us.
I´m looking forward to similar findings in autumn.
