New Pelodytes species

Hi all,

For the people that don´t know, 2 new Pelodytes species have been recently described (I knew about atlanticus, but hespericus surprised me):

Makes you wonder how many more cryptic species could be hiding in plain sight within Europe...

The eastern split at least seems too premature. You don't split species without careful study of what's going on at contact zones. I really dislike the tendency to split species that are likely to be just subspecies.

now in db: 10994
also updated the species db. hope, not to made to much mistakes (although in "overlapping/hybrid areas", I kept both species within the keywords)

A new species - and I got a shot of it: great! I am the amphibian king! :lol:
