what do you think about this lenses for wide angle pics?
how many cameras you take to the field? two? i
mean, one with wide angle lenses and another one with macro,or you just change the lense? its because dust can enter while changing the lense
thanks

It's a good lens. The only bad thing is that it doesn't focus massively close, so it's difficult to get good shots with small animals in the frame.

I carry one camera and two lenses; a wide-angle and a macro. Dust can enter the camera when changing lenses, but isn't really a problem. That's what SLRs are for.

Same with me - I always carry the Canon EF-S 10-22mm and the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lens with me, change lenses if necessary, and am perfectly content with it. Sorry I canĀ“t give you any advice on the Tokina though! Here are two comparison pics taken with the Canon lense, if it is of any help:

It's said to be good, but Sigmas can be variable in quality within the same model. When buying one, it's worth checking that the optics are good and the lens works as expected.

I heard something like this also from another Sigma lens (18-125mm) a few years ago...but I am also very happy with my sigma lenses (10-20mm WW and 150mm Macro) and cannot say something bad about it.
