compute depth of field

Postby Mario Schweiger » Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:40 am

I have found this on the web.
You may compute the depth of field very easy for all lenses, apertures and cameratypes.

Its in German language, but here are the important English translations to use it:

In the header you take the cameratype you have (Miniknippse = compact cameras, KB = slide size 24 x 36 mm, Mittelformat = 6 x 6 cm)
Brennweite (mm) = focal length (mm)
Blende (f) = aperture (f)
Fokus (m) = distance object - sensor/film
Schärfebereich (m) = depth of field (m)
