Hoser had an angry, raging reply to the Kaiser et al. paper on FHF that I wanted to link here for those of you with too much time, but its traces seem to have been largely erased and his member account (snakemanaustralia) seems gone from FHF too...
The agony is how I actually ran in to this paper. Because I was wondering about the subspecific rank of Bobby's Italian Natrix, I was browsing Google Scholar for the latest Natrix natrix phylogeny paper, but I couldn't remember the title or authors (Kindler et al., 2013 which is of course here too =>
