New book : Atlas of Amphibians & Reptiles of Aquitaine

Hello everybody.
I'm happy to present the publication of the "Atlas des Amphibiens et Reptiles d'Aquitaine".

Complement of the "Guide des Amphibiens and Reptiles d'Aquitaine" released in 2010 (http://www.cistude.org/images/Documents/AtlasAR/GuideARAquitaine.pdf), this book includes observations made by nearly 1,500 contributors.
The great dynamic of the last four years has allowed to accumulate a large database, which now exceeds 60,000 contributions.
Knowledge on the distribution of species in the regionshowed a large increase and now this atlas presents a reliable and accurate overview of the actual distribution of the 47 species of amphibians and reptiles of Aquitaine .

You will also find in this book an approach on the biogeography of our species, an analysis of their conservation status and inventory of threats and causes regression .
In addition, the book offers some simple steps to protect the herps and updated taxonomy and conservation status , including the publication of the regional Red List .

Looks like a very nice book! And 10€ is a really unbeatable offer. :D
