I look forward to receiving my copy come summer :)

Thanks for the information.

Dear Berislav Horvatic,
Thank you - your order has been successfully placed with NHBS.

I forget, but I think I've just ordered a HARDBOUND one, to support the authors' financial interests,
as well as to make my field luggage more heavy... But, really, thank you guys, for producing that.
Can't wait.

Hardcover is a limited edition (although I don't have a number). I believe I mentioned earlier the cover will look (completely) different and the title will be a little bit different too; the book will not appear in the Helm Field Guides series, but in the British Wildlife Publishing series (which is also owned by Bloomsbury now). Also, all these sites announcing it, have the author order and/or spelling of the names wrong.

And you, as authors, can't do anything about it?! Is the "hardcover" edition still YOUR book or not?!
Beats me. Never heard of anything like that in book publishing.

Should I cancel my order, if that's possible at all?

The sites have it wrong, Bero, not the book.

I went to the site where they offer both variants, the hardcover and the paperback,
http://www.nhbs.com/title/201426/reptil ... and-europe,
as given by Kristian Munkholm in this forum, and ordered the book in advance.
It was by no means clear that the variants would be different in any way, except
the price, so I opted for the "luxury" variant. So, have I made a mistake or not?!
But, if I've understood you right, I've ordered the RIGHT book, just wrongly
REPRESENTED (for the time being?) Is that so, is that all to it? For my own sake,
I strongly hope it is. However, as you say,
I believe I mentioned earlier the cover will look (completely) different and
the title will be a little bit different too...

For the sake of all others here, eager to order it, please be explicit.

Tsss... I didn't even know. Maybe FB needs me after all... ;)

Note that this is a link to the Australian section of the website, so that's a price in Australian dollars.

You can choose between paperback and hardcover, as well as some digital versions. The hardcover will be a limited edition, but maybe I mentioned that already earlier.

Some of you will get a free copy, so no need to preorder, but I have to get round to collecting postal addresses etc. soon. You probably know who you are. ;)

The release date is tentative. The page count will be about 100 pages more than what the website says (432, I think).

Great, I'll try to find one (and ask dedication ;) ).
The title "Britain & Europe" make me laugh.

Happy to hear that, Matthieu, because it makes me cry rather. One of the larger battles we've lost along the way. Too bad... If they ever translate it to Dutch, I think I will ask for naming it "of Flanders, the Netherlands, and a few other countries we failed to colonise." ;)
