I have 1 question...What do you think about the book "True Vipers-Natural History and Toxikology of Old World Vipers" (MALLOW, D., LUDWIG, D., NILSON, G.)?

Rok,

I don´t have this book (until now!). So I can´t say anything on it!
But, maybe others might have it and give a short summary and expertise here.

Handbook of Venoms and Toxins of Reptiles
By Stephen P. Mackessy, 2009

Bringing together contributions from many of the world's leading experts in toxinology, the Handbook of Venoms and Toxins of Reptiles covers a broad range of topics relevant to a wide range of professionals including clinicians, biomedical researchers, herpetologists, and zoologists, as well as pharmacologists and evolutionary scientists. It discusses phylogeny and gland structure, venom enzymes and toxins, non-protein venom components, and envenomation and its treatment, including ideal treatments contrasted with that which is actually available in specific areas of the world. The text also addresses venom enzymes and assay procedures used to detect venoms along with venom toxins.

P.S. I suggest moderator to create a separate topic on toxinology

Mario, you got me wrong. :D I suggested the topic in a section of literature, and not a separate section.

So, this could have be done by you also - create a new topic within the "reading room", but why not a separate section?
In this way it will be possible to discuss also on snake bites ( you have got yourself  ) beside on discussions on books!
