Distribution maps:Ichthyosaura's Danish distribution is much smaller, only just crossing the border in the southeastern corner of Jutland.
Likewise, no dalmatina ín Jutland nor on the northern half of Zealand (save for an introduced population in a forest north of Copenhagen).
Altitudinal distribution:T. marmoratus is listed as "up to almost 2000 m". I've found it in a pond at 2120 in the Guadarrama.
Likewise, girondica is listed as "as high as 1600 m". I've seen it at 1800 in the Gredos.
