Lacerta trilineata ssp. ?

Postby Ilian Velikov » Mon Jul 27, 2009 8:46 am

Hello to everyone!

In Bulgaria this species is presented by two sub-species - L.t.trilineata and L.t.dobrogica. I was looking at some photos of L.trilineata on the net and I saw that from the two only L.t.trillineata has the blue flanks ( at least on that photos). This photos are made in an area where only L.t.dobrogica has been reported, but this male looks like L.t.trilineata...I also saw the female, which has a row of white spots on the flanks! So, can anyone tell what sub-species this male is ?
