Australia ID

Postby Sebastian Holzki » Sun Jan 25, 2015 12:04 pm

Hello!

In December/January I was with a friend in Australia for holidays. I photographed also a few reptiles and one frog which I don´t know what they are.
Maybe you can help?

Your geckos is probably Gehyra and Hemidactylus. Since I hate ID jobs on australian skinks, I will pass on those. Your frog is a Litoria chloris and the blue mountains lizards is a Mountain dragon (Rankinia diemensis), the second agamid looks like a young Jacky lizard (Amphibolurus muricatus) Your right on the water dragon which is a young lesueuri.

On first impression:

1: Hemydactylus frenatus
2: not sure
3: not sure, best guess would be juv I. lesueurii
4: Intellagama lesueurii
5: Gehyra dubia
6: H. frenatus
7: G. dubia
8: H. frenatus
9 + 10: Bellatorias (Egernia) frerei
12 + 13: not sure, first guess was some Carlia sp., but appears to have 5 fingers in stead of 4 in Carlia spp.
14, 15, 16: Litoria chloris
17 + 18: Rankinia diemensis

Hey Kriss and Rémon! Thanks for determination. The agamid on picture 3 is the same as on 4. Sorry that I didn´t write that. So it is a Intellagama lesueurii.

The turtle (#2) is Common Saw-shelled Turtle (Myuchelys latisternum)
