Hi everyone. This summer, at the end of June I took this pictures on the Danube shore, where this river enters Romania, at the Serbia border. What do you think it is? Lacerta virdis or L. Trilineata? I am not sure if L. trilineata is found all over South Romania or just in Danube Delta

It's definitely a female L.viridis.

Rostral scale touches nostril so it is probably Balkan Green lizard right?

Michal, yes it's a trilineata.

Are you sure? That preserved specimen was found in natural history collections of my university in Poland and trilineata is not the closest green lizard to Poland.

It looks like it because of the rostral you mentioned and the bigger number of smaller temporal scales. In viridis they are fewer and bigger in size.
