Unknown toad from Morocco

Ten years ago, in April 2009, we found these young toads in the Anti-Atlas near Col de Kerdous. Could somebody help me with the identification (if it is possible)? It must be one of these two species Bufotes boulengeri or Barbarophryne brongersmai

I would advice you to find Wouter Beukema on FB and ask him. But it's a tough question.

very hard to tell, but freshly metamorphed Bufotes boulengeri looked much more contrasting. These are from a small creek between Tiznit and Mirleft.
