The picture below have been made on Balkans west coast in 2006.

Sometimes you have to do a very close look into a water body, if there is something herpetological interesting inside.
Like in this example.
Something is more easy to see, something very hard.
Please click on the image to see it in full size!

Have a close look on it

What do you see?
Species and numbers!

Have fun (its like in real nature!)

The newts are both males.
(I have an old and small (15`) PC monitor at the office  , so it`s quite hard to search for other herps in the pic.)
But this kind of e-herping sure is loads of fun! :D

I am not sure, but I think that I can see a snake.. A Natricidae of some kind.. Or is it a root from the Reed..

Sorry, no snake and/or no Emys!
But,
there are at least two more herps (to make it easier) amphibians to see, although very hard, but good and (nearly) complete to find.

I believe I see a tadpole - can't say which species.

- & now I think I see a metamorphosed anuran as well.

Again, no clue as to which species. It seems small, though.

@ Kristian

The metamorphosing anuran is not so bad!
May you give the appr. location?
Upper or lower quarter, left or right.

And there is one full developed amphibian species more on the image!
